La Sabbiona
Description
The wine estate owns 28 ha (of which 15 ha are vineyards) on the amazing Romagna hills 7 km away from a town renowned for handcrafted pottery, Faenza.
This land is rich in history, tradition and hospitality and is dominated by the medieval tower of Oriolo dei Fichi, unique in shape.
In the '70s our family bought La Sabbiona and since then took care of making wine and preserving ancient indigenous grape varieties, like Centesimino and Famoso.
At present, we produce and vinify only the grapes that grow in our vineyard, where we practice integrated pest management. We select the grapes by hand to obtain fine wines.
Also La Sabbiona is a holiday farm located in an old farm that's been recently renovated an furnished with period furniture, which is open year round.
Tastings and lunches/dinners are organized upon reservation.
